The Lexus LFA is one of the coolest, best sounding and greatest looking sports-cars ever – so what could possibly make it even better? Well, the Nürburgring-Package. As the name suggests, this special edition was built with one sole purpose: track abilities. And with a lap time of 7:14:60 it broke the record for production cars on the infamous “Nordschleife” during the 24h course back in 2011.
In order to make the car quicker on the course, Lexus added an aeropackage with front splitters and a fixed rear wing that replaced the adjustable hidden wing from the regular LFA as well as special tires. In addition to that the car was lowered by 10 mm and gained an extra of 10 hp in order to compensate for the drag of the aero-features. Besides being very fast, the LFA Nürburgring-Package was also quite exclusive – only 50 units were ever built.
Also worthy to mention is that the LFA Nürburgring-Package is one of the very few “perfect” cars in the world. In the “Auto Motor Sport” Supertest, the vehicle received 10 out of 10 points in every single one of the seven test-categories (more on that here)
