Only 42 Units ever produced, 205 mph (330 km/h) top speed, carbon interior with a titanium gearshift and golden paint on the exterior. The Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 SE was one hell of a car back in 2001 – and still is today.
The first Diablo had been released 11 years earlier in 1990 and was then followed by many successful variations. One of the latest ones was the Diablo 6.0. Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, who at the time was working for Audi, it was the first Diablo without the pop-up headlights and featuring the bigger, meaner 6 later V12 instead of the previously used 5,7 liter engine. With SE standing for Special Edition, the Diablo 6.0 SE was an even more prestigious version of the 6.o and represented the last of it’s kind. After that the Murcielago took over.
Lamborghini (Website) only ever built 42 units of the SE and for those who thought that 205 mph (330 km/h) weren’t enough to brag about there was the option of an even smaller final axel ratio (standard option was 1.92:1). With that, the Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 SE could reach speeds of over 220 mph (350 km/h).
