The Audi Avant RS2 was the beginning of an era. It was the first so called power-station-wagon to be ever built – and with well over 300 hp and a peak torque of 410 Nm, that name is well deserved. The Avant reached a top speed of 262 km/h (163 mph) – that’s 12 km/h faster than a modern day RS4 – and was therefor the fastest station wagon in the world when introduced back in 1994.

Behind the RS2 layed the concept of building a subtle looking car with track capabilities. Based on the Audi 80 Station wagon, the Avant RS2 was developed in collaboration with Porsche and is therefor known as Audi-Porsche RS2. The car is powered by an Inline 5 Cylinder turbo engine, comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the notorious Quattro all well drive powertrain.
