The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray was the first total restyling of the Corvette since its introduction in the early 50s. It was also the first coupe in the brand. The Sting Ray’s timeless styling was enhanced by a totally new chassis, including an independent rear suspension.

Especially the 1963 Corvette Sting Ray coupe was particularly distinctive by virtue of its unique ‘split window’ rear window. A styling feature that appeared only in this year. If you look closely, you will notice that the gallery above features images of the original 1963 “split window” model and the successor from 1965 which technically is the same car only with modified design.

The stats in the table below feature information regarding the L84 option which was the most powerful of the three available engine-options for the Sting Ray.
